The Bandwagon

Volume IV Issue IV       Fall 2000

The Bandwagon is somewhat overdue. Sorry about that. This summer is over and now we have to look forward to the snow and best of all riding next summer. We are looking forward to a report without rain or snow in it so we can get that last ride in before the winter sets in and we will have to polish instead of ride. I didn't get much time to ride this year because of all the rain. I did get to Hagerstown Maryland. All that went with me had a good time. (Well, almost all). If you like racing with the roar of the engines and the clouds of dust every time the racers pass by this was the place to be. The Grand National dirt track race is always exciting and if you have never seen one of these races this one is the one you shouldn't miss. The Labor Day Regatta for 2000 is over with but the Renegades had a good turnout for their dice run. They started here at Big Twin and ended at the river on the Lock Port side. There were 126 people that participated in the run and the weather cooperated nicely. Over $2000.00 was collected for the Infant Development Program of Clinton County. Good job well-done Renegades. We are looking forward to repeating this on Labor Day 2001. For those of you that are new reader of The Bandwagon, or new to this area the Renegades are a group of people that love to ride the roads of Pennsylvania and near by states. They also get enjoyment out of giving their time and raising funds to help those in need. Bikers helping people. They encourage anyone who owns a motorcycle to join the club and enjoy the group. For information about the renegades call or stop in the shop.

Also don't forget the AMA and ABATE of PA. They lookout for the best interests of the rider. Your membership does help and it goes a long way in bringing the riders view to the Legislators through their voice.

Are you planning a motorcycle event for 2001? We have a bulletin board here at Big Twin and we will post the event on it and include it on our web page (bigtwinms.com). You can bring a flyer in to the shop or e-mail us at, dmancini@cub.kcnet.org

We are starting a winter work schedule and if you are planning to have some work done on your bike check in with us so we can arrange for the work to be completed while the weather is nasty. We can arrange for chrome plating of the parts that need the extra shine. We do in-house polishing of lower forks, break disc's, engine cases, and more just point it out to me and I'll polish it. Also it the time to take care of those nasty leaks; we can do a reseal job on the base gaskets, rocker boxes or whatever need to be sealed.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped in making this little shop grow. I realize I can't make everyone happy all the time but we will keep trying. We need to know when things we do make you happy as well as when they don't. That's it for now ....

So until next time,
